Jimmy Boyd Little Boy

No Christmas songs for you, dear reader, as I'm sure you're deluged already. But here is a odd and kinda creepy song that has a roundabout connection to Christmas.

The Little Boy And The Old Man was a B Side to the 1950s children's music hit Tell Me A Story by Frankie Laine and Jimmy Boyd. Jimmy Boyd is mainly remembered for I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus. Boyd possessed a cartoon-like kid voice that was both irritatingly cute and slightly ghoulish.

You are even more wierd than this website if you think little Jimmy Boyd has a ghoulish voice. It's just your own outlook on life. Apparrently the 250,000,000 who bought that record didn't feel the same.

Well, considering Jimmy Boyd's recording career essentially lasted from 1953 (when he was 12) to 1967, this sportsbook is quite a best-of. Here are all the youngster's big smash hits, from "Dennis the Menace" with Rosemary Clooney, to his duets with Frankie Laine including, "The Little Boy and the Old Man," "Poor Little Piggy Bank," bet nfl "Tell Me a Story," and much, much more. Included in the package are the previously unreleased "I'm Glad I'm Not" and, of course, "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" (over 60 million copies sold). For Jimmy Boyd fans, this may not be the be-all and end-all, but there is more than enough here for anyone interested in checking http://www.enterbet.com out what the fuss was about in the early '50s (and it was quite a ruckus). ~ Thom Jurek, All Music Guide
