Harte 10

I tried doing my research on Harte 10, but came up with nothing but geeky record collector lists. The only information I gathered was that they were from Hamburg, Germany and were together until the late 80's. I dubbed this album from a radio station I worked at- all I remember is that an early-period David Hockney-esque drawing of two men inspecting each others assholes graced the cover.

Harte 10 share many similarities with the German New Wave Ata Tak / ZickZack bands of the late 70's/early 80's such as Der Plan and Siluetes 61, but with a bit more of a Etron Fou Leloublan/Albert Marcoeur style of quirky prog.

Harte 10 - I Love You (Mp3)
Harte 10 - He I-O-Pe I (Mp3)

If anyone has any info, please comment..

thank you for this info. From a Google search, I came up with this s/t album and one called "Gugu Dada" from the late 80's on EMI???

I have a dub, and I'm pretty sure it's of the whole record, but there is no (IIRC) listed in my handwritten scrawl. (i once stupidly passed up this record in a used bin for fucking $4)

here are the rest of the tracks for yr enjoyment:

Was Storts Den Mond
Cosmos Annie
Blues For Valerie
Ganz Leis' Erklingt Music
Akido

unfortunately, these are ripped from a dub.

I'm surprised these guys are moldering away in obscurity.,,,but I guess people would rather listen to their mediocre arcade fire CDs.

their names are frank köllges, mike herting and valery (forgot the last name). they're still active in the music scene, at least frank and mike. frank also did things like being musical director of a group of 50 musicians, his means of directing ranging from his body up to a real caterpillar as used on construction sites. this happening took place at a art exhibition called documenta in kassel. mike works as a producer but also worked with musicians like charlie mariano (and probably scores of others).

Can someone provide the lyrics for Ganz Leis' Erklingt Musik? And, where's the MP3 for that song?

Thanks in advance.

Harte 10 is one of my all time favorite records. Probably due to its obscurity and that I bought from a street vendor in Belgium in 1992. The cover, the back photo, and the music are all spell-binding-what-the-fuck triumphs of the damaged human spirit. Viva Harte 10!
